Army sends a company of volunteers to patrol the uncharted western territories
Tale
In the winter of 1862, during the Civil War, the U.S. Minervini built the set in Montana, after which the Actors were allowed to live in it for two months.
“The Damned”; a completely boring film
The dialogue and ideas presented are those that the actors invented in Living in the Wilderness, imagining themselves as Civil War soldiers. It’s like someone recorded a home video with a phone or an old video camera.
All in all, a complete waste of time
Although the scenery is beautiful, the soldiers just walk around, doing nothing. The changing seasons and snowfalls don’t add much to the experience.
I thought the directors and filmmakers were famous, but I’ve never heard of them
You’d be better off watching a traffic jam from a big city window – that’s much more entertaining than this film. It seems like the most iconic filmmakers make films for cross-cultural audiences, not for everyday people like me.
