The most popular movies and TV series by writer/director Taylor Sheridan on IMDb, ranked by user ratings. They essentially manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas. Much like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, workers’ living quarters (man camps), assemble excavation machinery, and drill the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator.
Her character seems to disrupt the central narrative, adding unnecessary chaos rather than supporting his journey
For someone so focused on his goals, the inclusion of an emotionally unstable, one-woman circus completely undermines the show’s purpose. The portrayal doesn’t reinforce the plot, but instead makes it harder to take his determination and focus seriously. Similarly, the roles of both his wife and daughter feel out of place in the show.
Rather than strengthening the plot or character dynamics, this approach feels like a superficial attention-grabbing tactic
The wife seems emotionally erratic, while the daughter seems to lack intellectual depth, making her contribution to the plot negligible. The portrayal of the daughter feels particularly shallow, and her character offers little beyond superficial involvement, which adds nothing to the story. Furthermore, the constant jumping around of these characters in provocative clothing, seemingly for no other purpose than to draw viewers in, seems out of keeping with the tone of the show.
