Tale
Media expert Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first TV role. The show had an interesting premise and a lot of initial promise, but it fell flat. As a fan of brutal murder miniseries, I was hooked on the idea. However, it felt like it was originally written as a multi-season show but was condensed into an eight-episode miniseries. The result was an oversaturated story with multiple subplots and underdeveloped characters that only loosely connected to the main plot. Each subplot had potential but was cut short, leaving the story feeling empty and confusing. It seemed like it had all the right ingredients for a 5-star meal, but the chef ran out of time and just threw everything together and served it. The ending was particularly disappointing – honestly, it wasn’t bad, just disappointingly lackluster. She didn’t express any strong emotions, good or bad, because there was little to touch.
