Link to Korman Productions Deep Dive TV Podcast: Earth Abides on MGM+ Deep Dive Episode 1 “Alone”; with Dave and Stacie (2024). The first episode would usually be a decent episode, but not here, which is especially bad considering it’s about a global pandemic that seemingly ends civilization. It’s only been three weeks since he got out of it from what he said, but it feels like months or even a year from the way everyone talks and acts.
Well, that didn’t last long
He starts off by introducing you as some established dude who likes to live alone, off the grid. Looking at the cover image, what are the odds that when she meets her, she’s a strong independent woman who doesn’t need any man, but he can refer to her as a lost puppy. You really don’t see where the fun is going to come from here if there’s hardly anyone left and there’s no infected threat like 28 Days Later.
I won’t be watching to find out!
This episode was just about the survivors whining about being alive. Maybe there will be some textbook slaves (probably Christians who look bad) who want to start a new world order and they’ll have to escape them? "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
