The true art and success of setting up a mystery box depends on the viewer’s tolerance for the frequency of the mystery box being placed and when the mystery boxes are finally revealed to the audience. At the core of SILO, the question or ultimate mystery for the viewers is: “Why does this community live in an artificially made, post-industrial concrete hole in the ground?” The beginning of ŞILA is interesting.
SILO is primarily a slow-paced drama with some recurring themes
The opening "hook", the sets, the acting, the production values, the cinematography are good if the viewer likes the whole genre of muted tone dystopia. The viewer’s the challenge could become a continuous fast moving line of mysterious box disposal and an overall slow motion of the plot.
