Whether they are exploring the stars, escaping dystopia, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book Wool — the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor in various episodes spin in the wrong direction as far as the orientation of the blades. I have not read or heard of the books that Silo is based on. The story is good and interesting. The series takes place 140 years after the apocalypse. The other 10,000 people live in the silo and have never been outside. They don’t even know what stars are. However, they know that going outside the silo is deadly. Some people decide to go outside to find out more, but they always die. Those who stay inside the silo can witness every time someone tries to go outside through the window and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays the lead role as Juliette Nichols, who tries to find out what’s outside the silo and why they can’t get out without dying. The acting is good, as is the character development. However, the pacing can be a bit slow, as there are a few filler episodes. They could definitely shorten the series by at least two episodes, but that doesn’t bother me that much because the series as a whole is very good. I’m looking forward to Season 2. With more tension, mystery, and answers to the questions of what’s going on outside the silo!
