Her acting is weak
In The Day of the Jackal (1973) The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. To quote Graham Norton’s Gostija: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). Lynch is completely out of line.
It baffles me
Why was she cast in this role when there are so many actresses who could do it better? Her character is not interesting, just another obsessed agent. Eddie Redmayne can do anything, his acting range is impressive, from stage dramas to musicals to films.
He never disappoints
He is solid in this role, no matter what he does. The plot is interesting and engaging… funny, as we root for the Jackal…
not for MI6
The location of the series is stunning and the action is high octane excitement. It cannot be compared to the original, a worthy adaptation for today.
